There is a technique called PROXY FTP or THIRD-PARTY FTP where a single
FTP client can simultaneously connect to 2 different FTP servers and direct
them to
transfer a file between themselves. One server is sent a GET (RETR) and the
other is sent a PUT (STOR) but thru use of, I think, PORT & PASV commands,
they open a data connection between themselves. The FTP client needn't have
either source or destination file. The FTP client does no file direct access
