The proper email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] After sorting the disk volumes by backup tape volser and file sequence, FDRDRP selects the first 100 disks in the list. Those 100 disks are completely restored before we start the next set of 100. This explains the behavior you saw. Some customers submit multiple FDRDRP jobs, with no more than 100 SELECTs each, to get more concurrency. If multiple jobs need the same tapes, FDRDRP can pass tapes back and forth between then without dismounting, just like it does in a single FDRDRP step. However, we don't attempt to optimize tape usage between jobs, so a given tape may be mounted more than once, depending on when it is needed in each job. -- Bruce A.
