Sorry about the late comment on this topic. Normally DB2 xxxMSTR is not the important DB2 address space to look at. xxxDBM1 is the address space constrained by virtual and real storage.
The biggest user adjustable value that impacts MSTR storage usage is log buffers. data base buffers and most other pools are related to the DBM1 the storage estimate formulas for DB2 are in the Installation guide chapter 2 titles "Estimating DB2 Storage Needs" In addition there is a trace option available where DB2 will cut storage report stat records to SMF IFCID 217 and 225. These IFCIDS are activated by a class 6 statistics trace. They mostly report on DBM1. I suspect that from the viewpoint of the original question the IFCID information should be ignored. ----- Original Message ----- From: R.S.<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, May 11, 2006 6:13 AM Subject: DB2 MSTR address space memory usage How to find out what is memory usage of DB2 xxxMSTR address space ? -- Radoslaw Skorupka Lodz, Poland ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html<http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html> ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
