I didn't see any contradiction as I assumed this refers to the LE
runtime environment on z/OS. Currently ISPF ships a version of the
SAS/C runtime in ISP.SISPSASC that is now 6 years old. This is not the
current runtime SAS/C environment and IBM either needed to update the
distribution to the current SAS/C libraries or convert to the current
IBM C compilers and use LE runtimes. They appear to be doing the later
which makes sense to me since they (IBM) distribute LE.

Hmmm.... Seems to contradict IBM's own "Statement of Direction" to
remove dependency on language-specific run-time libraries in favor of
Language Environment. Or are they talking about the code that runs on
the PC?
