Radoslaw, The VOLSAFE from STK has actually been around even longer then IBM 3592/WORM. However, because STK cannot change the operating system, they did not include things like the WWID and the usage-count that IBM has inside theirs. Will they in the future, only STK can answer that. But their WORM device has been available longer then IBM; so I am not sure they will. After all, they have given up on trying to remain hardware compatible with IBM for some time now.
