It doesn't have to PSF does. So if it's a defined printer to JES with  
TYPE=FSS it does fine. The printers have gotten smarter too.
They can be FSS and LAN attached and depending on config can do  
AFP,PS,PCL,etc Metacodes. Just have to be a little careful opening the boxes.  
The tiny 
little hard drives are about the size of end caps for printer stands.  Had to 
dig thru the packing material more than once to find all the  parts!
