At my shop the main reason we did not like it because of the lack of
support for MVS files.
We have found that if you have FTP servers and clients that support the
EPSV4 command NAT is not an issue.

We are ourselves working on some solutions to some of these problems,
and I'm curious as to what issues you (or others on this list) have found.
As you may know, sftp has some advantages over FTPS, like:
- wide-spread deployment in *nix and windows environments
- single socket protocol works much better with many firewalls and nat
routers
