I would try commenting it out (or removing it) of AUTOLOG.
Reload the TCPIP profile using the OBEY command.
Then killing/stopping the LPSERVE task.

With LPSERVE in AUTOLOG, it will restart every 5 minutes (or attempt to).

Hi All,
We had left LPSERVE in our TCPIP.PARMLIB(PROFILE) member in the AUTOLOG
section at last startup, even though
we didn't want to use it. We had commented out the PORT 515 entries.

Problem is, AOPLPD (part of InfoPrint) wont start because there is a
listener on PORT 515, we get the following messages.

AOP004E An OS/390 system error occurred during processing. 917
(program:aoplpd)
AOP047E bind() failed in TCPListener::TCPListener(const IPAddress&) 918
at ./src/tcpconnect.cpp 108: EDC5111I Permission denied. errno2=0x744c
7246 (program:aoplpd)
AOP044I Shutdown complete. (program:aoplpd)
AOP076E The start of daemon aoplpd failed. (program:aopd)

We have issued a STOP command to LPSERVE, which it accepted and ended.
Then tried re-starting InfoPrint, but get the same error.

Then issued D TCPIP,,NETSTAT,ALLC,PORT=515 and got the response that
LPSERVE is still 'linked' to PORT 515.

EZZ2500I NETSTAT CS V1R4 TCPIP 471
USER ID CONN LOCAL SOCKET FOREIGN SOCKET STATE
LPSERVE 0004C0F7 0.0.0.0..515 0.0.0.0..0 LISTEN
1 OF 1 RECORDS DISPLAYED

Is there any way to free up PORT 515 short of fixing the AUTOLOG statements
and bouncing TCPIP?

Thanks in advance
