You will have to use the front-end to ADRDSSU and use the UIM 23 exit.
We do that here, and we change the return code of certain NON-VSAM datasets 
from rc=0008 to rc=004.

The condition where datasets not found is caused by datasets (and GDGs) being 
deleted between the time that ADRDSSU reads the VTOC/CATALOG and the time that 
ADRDSSU selects that dataset for backup.

And yes you will have to change the name of the program that you call, we call 
ours ADRU23 and it is placed in a LINKLIST dataset.  Of course you could use 
SMP/E to use a usermod to make your front-end be the entry point.

  I am performing of a selective backup of various volumes for certain high 
level qualifiers.  My problem is that the job puts out a cond code 0008 
(ADR321E)
because either the "No data set names found" or "Not on volume...."
Can I force a return code of 0004? If not, can I bypass these empty files?
