Is there a callable interface to your FAMSFREESP routine?
FAMS (File Attributes Manager) is a callable IBM interface which
FDREPORT uses to get info about PDSE and HFS datasets. However, I
believe the API is only docmented if you pay IBM for the info.
Sorry, we don't have any external interface through FDR code that you
can use to get into it. Of course, FDREPORT output can be written in
tabular format and read by other programs, or imported into
spreadsheets, etc. if that helps.
