I don't even know what UDP is. I'm not a network person. I'm stuck on this project because I'm the only Mainframe Techie for our company. The rest are outsourced. The traces show some kind of stutter. Then a 'terminate session' request is sent back to the client workstation. The terminology is not from our service provider's staff, rather from a second (or third) hand explanation. I mentioned our problem to a z/OS TCP/IP consultant I met at a CMG Canada seminar, two months ago. She understood what the problem was (or so it seemed). She mentioned something called a 'nagle' (spelling?). She mentioned that we could engage her through IGS. We have tried to engage IGS and they have been hesitant to take our money. They suggested a PMR. We've been that route with no success. . -teD Marching to the beat of a different flute ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
