Hi,

I know this isn't a mainframe topic specifically, but there is such a wealth of
knowledge in the pool that I thought it was worth a try.

I have Red Hat Linux 9 on a Thinkpad (ex ADCD System), and have tried to
install Open Linux (nee IBM's Object REXX until it passed to the Open
Community.)

The process indicates three main steps:

1) Run a script called CONFIGURE - that was fine on the second attempt after I
had installed a C compiler.
2) Run a script called MAKE - to compile the Open REXX compiler

Everything is fine so far, but then the instructions become vague

"Once you have ooRexx compiled, it can be installed."

At this point it is unclear whether there is another script that I am missing
or whether there is some manual configuration required. It does mention some
folders which logically would be in /opt but they are not there yet and I
suspect that the install process builds them but how is what I am unsure of.

If anybody has been through this hoop I would appreciate some advice.

Kind regards - Terry
