Why do you need LU6.2? Can you use IP Sockets instead of LU6.2?

What does DPL stand for?

What's your programming environment: CICS, IMS, batch, ...? What's your
preferred programming language?

z/OS Communications Server SNA Programmer's LU 6.2 Guide
z/OS Communications Server SNA Programmer's LU 6.2 Reference

available from the usual sources would certainly be a good start.
