Thank you for your reply
When you say "starts user programs" what do you mean and how do you do
it?
Via ATTACH DISP=NO and set TCBPKF to key 8, to start some document
converter or copy utility user programs.
For a long time, the user application was also run in JESKEY..
Was this application intended to be run as an authorized user program?
No
It is not necessary to run in key 8 to use shared memory.
I think generaly not necessary, but for the BPX1MAT (shmat) , it is
necessary, we got errors for the shmat service if the caller was not in KEY8.
The PC and the PR should be negligible unless you do that function with
very high frequency. Otherwise the CPU cost ought to be about the same.
What else changed?
Before the changes about theshared memory, the user applications were
also in KEY1, so I used MVC and MVCL , I'm using now MVCSK and MVCDK.
