Note that a sysprog must install this because
xterm must be setuid root to use USS terminal
resources. Our sysprog installed this port
but removed it after noticing that it was a
resource hog.

There are useful workarounds for z/OS xterm.
If you have a full blown X Windows server
on your desktop, it has its own xterms. You
can add USS host(s) with "xhost +" commands
on your server, rlogin to USS from its xterms
and set DISPLAY to the IP address and window
number of your X server.

If you don't have an X Windows server, perhaps
you can use XDMCP as an intermediary. On my
office Wintel, I use Xmanager 2.0 to get a
virtual X Windows desktop on one of our Solaris
XDMCP servers.

One further caveat... in a work environment,
avoid Cygwin (the open-source Unix emulator
for Wintel) because it has a long history of
unresolved conflicts with commercial security
software. Turning that off is seldom an option
at work.
