Ed, unless your input PDS is extremely large, this should work OK ... are you sure that the disk used for temporary files (OS39M1) has enough freespace? XMIT and IEBCOPY are usually pretty well-behaved when it comes to allocating sufficient space for workfiles. Check for additional messages from IEBCOPY, too.
