Use your tape management system to find some VTS volumes which are in scratch status. You'll need to determine how many you need to "free up". Once you have a list of the volsers, enter the z/OS command:
LI EJECT,xxxxxx Where "xxxxxx" is replaced by the volser you want to "eject".
