In addition to the suggestion (by some poster on this or a similar  thread) 
that we all read at least one dump per year to keep in shape, I also  suggest 
doing at least one hexadecimal multiplication by hand per year.   A long-hand 
hex division with pencil and paper is even better.  So put  that hex calculator 
down and get at it.  Hut-two, hut-two, hut-two.   And a long-hand computation 
of a square root (decimal number system is  acceptable) is also a good thing 
every now and then.
