IBM has more no-charge(*) classes on offer for 2006, and there are more
topics. As far as I know these classes are available to anyone who wishes
to visit any city -- no geographic restrictions. You can apply to reserve
a seat using the IBM Education enrollment Web site:

http://www.ibm.com/services/learning/us

Just search on the 5 character course code listed below to find your
favorite class. Seating is not guaranteed until you receive a
confirmation, and seating is limited. Here are the upcoming course codes,
cities, and dates -- and sorry for the late notice on ZJAV1:

In my experience these classes are light on the marketing stuff and heavy
on the practical, hands-on experience. Naturally you'll want to
supplement these freebies with Steve Comstock's classes.</BLATANTPLUG>

(*) Somebody at IBM told me a long time ago I'm supposed to say
"no-charge" instead of "free." In common English -- what I normally speak
and write -- these classes are free. However, your associated travel,
lodging, and time are probably not free, hence IBM says "no-charge." Yet
everybody else says "free" under similar circumstances. For example,
Wal-Mart is certainly not going to say "no-charge candy bars to the first
twenty families visiting our grand opening in Newville." Oh, well.
