I don't use it, but I have it install. I seem to remember that you just send the PDF document to the spool and it will do the conversion. While the conversion is taking place, it seems to want to take over all the available CPU cycles on your system. Conversion to APF is free, but conversion from AFP to anything else cost money.
It is part of the infoprint setup and will start up with AOPD. It will add 2 STC for PCL and postscript conversion. PDF is part of the postscript conversion. From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kirk Wolf The IBM "Infoprint Transform" products seem to suggest that you can use them to convert PDF documents to AFP. Does anyone on list have any experience with this? I was wondering how you go about initiating this? Does this facility accept PDF data directly from the JES SPOOL? In other words, can you simply write the PDF data to a SYSOUT DD specifying a WRITER, or do you have to submit a job that runs some utility program to convert the PDF? Thanks for any help / experience in this matter.
