Hello Jeffrey, Is this for DASD?
Is it ESCON or FICON? If ESCON, How many devices per CU? You example has 5 CUs per chpid, which would cause > 1024 devices per ESCON chpid if each CU has 256 devices. I use a rolling chpid connectivity technique, but I "cascade" 8 DASD CU's across 16 ESCON chpids for full connectivity. 256 devs per CU, 8 chpids per CU, 4 CU's per chpid. I have a spreadsheet that makes it easy for me to micro-manage these connections.
