Agree entirely - the only problem I see in all this is that I have to quite often twist arms to get the devs interested. They see it as sysprog-type stuff, and won't get involved. And there are a few imperatives as well - like they are competent to understand the output, *and* the associated code. And nobody ever wants to go back over old (legacy) code, no matter how much of a (resource) pig it is.
