In our case, sometimes it's our SE that gets notification (can't tell you
how that process works) and lets us know about things like this prior to 
us finding out from current HOLDDATA & SMP/E Reports, Red Alerts, or
the grape vine AKA IBM-MAIN.  :-)

One might install zIIP support even if they don't have a zIIP
processor if they were planning on getting one.  Also, the zIIP 
might only be on a couple of LPARs but by virtue of sharing the
sysres, the code would be on all the LPARs. 

In our case, we have the code and have LPARs running CSF that don't
or won't have zIIPs.
