I don't think we have the console enhancement installed. I can't find the FMID to check, but we're a "mainframe going away site", so we were never supposed to have to upgrade from 1.4 (or 1.2 or OS/390 2.6 etc....)
I think adding LINK statements is the solution, we never had any before. It's hard to RTFM when you don't know what COMMAND you need! I added a link matching my TSO id and it works. Always before, we had to issue the IOF AUTOCON OFF command, I'll bet THAT is related also, now it works with AUTOCON ON (much nicer!)
