Steve, I do not have a cheat sheet, since this is pretty easy to use. If you have access to Compuware's (registration required) web site there is great documentation on Strobe. The best way to start is to get your hands dirty and play with it, explore the options. The first time I used Strobe, I was producing reports in just a few minutes. No manual required.
Strobe comes with an easy to use ISPF interface. I use the Active (stuff running now) and Queued (stuff going to run) options for the most part. Depending on the level of Strobe you are at there is a scheduling facility. Also if you put your compile/assembler listing into a dataset Strobe will map it to what parts of the program are the most executed. If you have a specific question you can send it to me offline from the list. Wiegand Sent: Friday, August 11, 2006 10:34 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Strobe I'm wondering if anyone on this list might be able to help me out here or point me to a helpful web site. I'm working with a client who has the transaction analysis and monitor Compuware system called Strobe. I am not familiar with this system at all and the client has neither the time nor money to provide any training on it. As I need to make extensive use of it, I need to get up to speed on it as quickly as possible. So, if anyone has a 1 or 2 page cheat sheet that shows how to do the basic functions, i.e. start it, analyze a transaction or file usage etc., that they could share, I'd really appreciate it. I do not have access to any manuals as I work from home and the client is in another state. Thanks.
