That was when I was flying out of City Airport from Detroit to Cleveland every morning and back every afternoon for several months. What actually happened that time was that the plane had closed the doors and was getting ready to go when I ran up to the ticket counter. The woman at the counter say me and immediately called the pilot, who stopped and opened the door. I checked in and boarded the plane. Then one day, when I had been flying between Detroit and Erie, PA every week for a few months. The plane had already started moving and I ran out there and flagged the pilot down. That was a 7 seat Piper Navajo, and there was no ticket agent. The pilot did it all. He stopped and let me on. No way that could happen today....
