I can only hope the return trip will be half as easy ... My experience flying from Madison to Baltimore today parallels Ed's fairly closely. My flights changed in Detroit which, if you haven't been through it in the past couple of years, is an easy treat on most days. My gates were in on 65 and out on 30 which just takes two moving walkways and a nice walk to finish. The various caffeine depots had MUCH longer lines than the security checkpoints in both Madison and Detroit. I like my caffeine in a more fizzy form so I just smiled and strolled on past.
I checked my largest bag - much too big for carry-on - so I had it loaded with my non-solid items (gels, liquids, etc., etc.). I flew on Northwest Airlines which used to be my favorite although I am expecting their flight attendants to go on strike midweek next week. I got my tickets before they announced their intent to strike. (I have a backup plan queued up.) Our checked baggage took a long time to reach the terminal but my bag made it intact (liquids still in their containers and all). So I know that I'll be snubbing Ed all week. Please let me know if you are here because its always a shame to be snubbed unintentionally. -- Tom Schmidt Baltimore, MD (this week) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
