Hi experts, I have a customer who has currently a 9672-R36 with 2 SAPs. It is used as an SAP database server. The machine runs normally at approx. 40 to 50% CPU and a channel usage (ESS-F20 with 8 Escon) of approx. 40%. We want to replace this machine by a used z800-002. In the LSPR tables the machines are almost equal. But what about the 2 SAPs at the 9672 compared to the 1 in z800. Could there be a problem in I/O performance. The ESS remains the same with its 8 escon channels.
