And why wouldn't you consider UDB/DB2? Seems to me that there are
certain things running on/under z/OS that when DB2 is available, you
gain functionality (but not being a RACF admin I'm not sure that this is
needed for LDAP these days...).

Running Oracle under z/OS doesn't really turn on these types of
function/features.

Again, my question is "stupid" because I've been out of the loop in this
area for a few releases of z/OS, RACF, SMS, etc.
