I just went over this with IBM support. We converted from a parallel sysplex to a base sysplex on a processor replacement.
We need to create new sysplex CDS for this conversion. CFRM is only use if you have a Coupling Facility (CF) engine. There are a few items you will lose when you don't have a CF engine. My primary gripe about the Setting up a Sysplex manual is that it wants everyone to setup a Parallel Sysplex. There is very little information in it about setting up a base Sysplex. Does anyone know if you can use CFRM with a BASIC sysplex? (as opposed to a Parallel Sysplex) Thanks.
