John McKown asked a question "I can't remember if this happens or not. On TSO, when you logon and your password is about to expire, you get a message like:
ICH70002I YOUR PASSWORD WILL EXPIRE IN 1 DAYS. Does the ftp server send out this message? Sorry, but I just don't remember. And I just changed my password, so it will be a while before I can check again. We have a number of ftp-only users. Is there any way to get the ftp server to send this message to the ftp client (as a 230 message, perhaps). Or can I use the FTPCHKPWD exit to do this. If so, anybody got code? <grin>. What about people (we are few) who use "telnet", or "rlogin", or "ssh" to get into a UNIX shell? I don't recall it ever putting out this sort of message either." I do not remember seeing any response. John, if you have recieved an answer we would be interested also. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
