Folks,
I don't believe I ever posted what this ended up being. In going from z/OS 1.5 to z/OS 1.7 there where some JES2 changes. Several of our exits required some coding. Exit6 was determined to be the problem area. Not one we thought we had to work on and in the docs we've seen didn't think it should be called during an offload. Tho we did determine that the actual overlay may have occurred earlier with no ill effect except to be seen during the spool offload. So, another sysprog here investigated and made a change to our exit 6 and we are now fine. IF any need the actual change info, I can get it. Just don't have it at the moment.

Subject: 0c1's jes2 offload....

We upgraded our last system today to z/OS 1.7. At this point, we are unable to successfully do the following command -&SOFFLOAD4,TYPE=TRANSMIT We get 0c1's in various other StartedTasks. IE - CA-MIM, JES2MON are two that got the abend. I've added a spool volume to get us thru the nite and another guy is moving some things off to JSF. Just thought I'd ask the question here before opening an issue with IBM. We did a search at the IBM and site and didn't get a hit. THANX for any info....
