Ran into the same issue. We were able to isolate the SNAP target datasets to
a SMS Storage Group ONLY for EMC Timefinder.
We did allocate some volumes from each EMC DASD box to the production SMS
Storage Group (the number depends on your usage and file sizes). This was
done to ensure that EMCCOPY (I think that is what EMC called it) would be
used instead of DFDSS.
