I've done a lot of analysis on the 3480 in the last couple of days. We have things like files extending to 15 reels or tapes with up to 20 files stacked on them. I think we're going to use an esoteric of SYS3480R to allow them to be read on the 3490s, but no more writes on the 3480s.
