This forum is primarily a list server. People sign up and get e-mail posted to this group. Messages sent to the list serve are copied to the news group. But messages posted to the news group aren't copied to the list server. I subscribe to the list server, with the option that I don't get e-mail sent to me. When I download messages from the news group, I get all of the messages. When I reply, I try to remember to reply to the list server instead of to the newsgroup. That way, everybody interested gets the message. When I am trying to solve a problem (either mine or of someone on the newsgroup), this can make a real difference.
