Of course you are correct. My experience is that that there may be some differences in ICETOOL that may bite you in the conversion. Way back when I did a benchmark between the two and DFSORT won but by a small point or two. The difference that I personally like is that DFSORT is supported by SMP/e (read IBM real SMPe support NOT CA so called SMPe support). I don't know currently (this information is old) is that Syncsort distributed fixes by weekly (or seemed like) in the form of ZAPs on a printed mailed sheet.
