Subject: IBM VTS question.

We have an IBM VTS. We only use MEDIA2 virtual tapes in
the VTS.
However, by accident, the tape librarian did an insert
of 10,000 (ten
thousand) volumes of MEDIA1. She now want to "range
delete" these. From what I can tell, although the
INSERT is done via the VTS control panel (web page),
the DELETE must be done on the z/OS side via a LIBRARY
EJECT,volser,PURGE to remove the volumes from the TCDB.
And the LIBRARY EJECT does not have a "range"
capability, so I need to issue 10,000 individual
LIBRARY EJECT commands.

Am I correct, or is there an easier way? Oh, I will
write a REXX routine to create the LIBRARY EJECT
commands. I don't plan to entering them "by hand".
