I got this extract out of a PMR from a friend IBM-er about ANTTREXX:
<I have confirmed with development, and ANTTREXX is an undocumented
and unsuppored interface that we have plans to remove the module from
z/OS. If you have any questions please let me know.>
To which the local technical support guy replied by:
<I'm not sure how we can now say this is an undocumented and
unsupported interface when we released PTFs over a year ago (UA12273
et al) which provide (among other things) ANTPTSO and documentation
(in the PTF) about how it is to be used to invoke ANTTREXX. ...>
APAR OA14852, with PTFs released on 8/29/06, updated ANTTREXX.
APAR OA04022, from 2004, added 4 members in SAMPLIB showing how to do
various functions (flashcopy, pprc, etc) using ANTTREXX.
So I don't think it is going away
