All,

The annual GSE conference is less than two weeks away, so to help the
conference committee organise the event, please let us know as soon as possible
if you are planning to attend the event.

The agenda and registration details can be found at: www.gse.org.uk/tyc

The conference brochure has been distributed and the Chairman of the Enterprise
Security stream (Dave Mcroberts) states:

"The only truly secure system is one that is powered off, cast in a block of
concrete and sealed in a lead-lined room with armed guards." (Gene Spafford).
This stream is for people who want their businesses to stay switched on. We
have an interesting range of speakers many of whom have won "top speaker"
awards in other conferences. These include Mike Small, CA's Security Strategy
Director and a gifted presenter, who will do a couple of sessions including the
intriguingly titled "Malice, Misuse or Mistake". David Heydecker, who was
wildly applauded for his 2004 presentation, returns this time to speak on
"Federated Identity Management". For those looking for a more technical
element, Mark Wilson's description of SMF, Carolyn Hobson's analysis of LDAP
Bridge, and perhaps especially Mark Nelson's webcasts covering Icetool and zOS
1.8 Security Server Updates should not be missed. Keep your knowledge current,
keep your current flowing, join us.

We look forward to seeing you all on the 31st October for what will be a great
event.

Kind Regards

Mark Wilson
