FWIW, I totally concur! My SG routine was as simple as it could be.
OTOH, my SC routine (with comments) was over 1200 lines.

I make most of my decisions on the dataset name and prefer to incur the
cost of testing against filter lists once. The storage class is the
best place since data class acs routines are skipped in some
environments.
