Hello,

We just installed an IBM 3494/3590 tape sub-system running on a Z9 BC
enterprise server with an os level of Z/OS 1.5. We are currently
experiencing a problem with DFHSM writing full volume Dumps. We get the
following error:

ARC0722I BACKUP STARTING ON VOLUME SYS200(NONSMS) AT 693
ARC0722I (CONT.) 09:36:18 ON 2006/10/11 SYSTEM ESA2
ARC0704I BACKUP OF VOLUME SYS200 TERMINATED, ERROR 694
ARC0704I (CONT.) ALLOCATING VTOC COPY DATA SET ON VOLUME ML1003
ARC0723I BACKUP ENDING ON VOLUME SYS200 AT 09:36:18, 695
ARC0723I (CONT.) 00000000 DATA SETS BACKED UP

The ML1 volume that we are writing the copy of the VTOC to is completely
empty. We have searched IBMLink to no avail.

Has anyone experience this situation or have any ideals on how to diagnose
it?

Thanks,
