I agree that this is a simple way to solve that problem. Too bad that
nobody wants to be bothered to do it. They'd rather complain to me about
ftp "being broken" because it doesn't do what they want it to do, only
what it is documented to do.

What happens on the Windows side is not under my control. And there is
approximately a 99.5273% probability that anything I suggest would be
summarily rejected. No, not a good working relationship there. <shrug>
We (z/OS and Windows) get paid by the same company, but we are
definately not on the same team.
