Cheers - so what I saw was what you expected, but not what I expected. I
had a requirement to copy the serverpac /etc to a new HFS and merge a
current /etc over the top with noreplace.
Expecting to get a merged /newsys, I wound up with /newsys/etc
and /newsys/service.
As it had to be a deployable batch procedure, I gave up and went with a
script that changes to each of the source directories in turn.
