Greetings, I've been asked to update an old assembler program (ca. 1993) to let it run in 31-bit mode. It uses the LOCATE macro so there's special code in it to force 24-bit mode, allegedly because LOCATE had to run 24-bit back then. It seems unlikely that this restriction hasn't been lifted sometime in the last 13 years, but I can't find anywhere that says so specifically. Anyone have the straight scoop?
I've been away from MVS for almost 20 years but have managed to retain my assembler skills. This is what I get for volunteering!
