I am afraid that we have now devolved to semantics. I did not say you could not write a program that was refreshable but modified itself. I said that you could not write one if you intended that what you changed actually took affect.
If your design is that a program when refreshed reverts to its original behavior, that might not be thought of as a great design, even if the ramifications of reverting might be tiny..
