I have a customer who got bitten by LE mismatch prior to the
functionality shipped in 2.10, and they are (still) similarly gun-shy.
Generally code is developed in DEVL and promoted (via Endeavor) up to
PROD. For new BCP rollouts, once the new resvol hits DEVL, *all*
promotions are held off for the fortnight until the res hits PROD.
Any problems are fixed in PROD - all libraries being shared.

One of the (major) reasons BCP upgrades are such a big issue at this
site.
