I understood it as he changed the JOBCLASS(STC) in the JES2 parmlib member.  (-:

So in this case he'd have to restart JES2 first and then the STC?

Isn't he talking about the STCPARM in JESPARMs? So it will affect
STCs started after the change is made. It's the default for STC w/o 
TIME parms on the EXEC step. For those with TIME= on the EXEC step they  
won't be affected one way or the other except by  EXITs.
