I was just told that the Austin newspapers are running a story on :
The State of Texas , 31 computer centers are all being outsourced to IBM.
Conclusion : Is this the start of the big Federal cuts coming down the
line because we need a democracy in IRAQ or do we have to thank
GArtner for their brilliant report provided to the new IT Manager of
the State of Texas ?

Around the shops I've worked in, Gartner Group was considered the GOD of
IT, never to be questioned or contradicted. I submit that this is a
mistaken viewpoint but I've always been viewed as a lone voice in the
wilderness in this respect.
