Esmie, However, one thing that everyone seems to have forgotten is that depending on your tape management system definitions; the JCL specified expiration date might be overridden by your TMS rules. For example, with both CA-1 and TLMS; depending on the definitions you could over-ride any JCL specified expiration date with an expiration date in a rules file. I believe that is true for the other tape management systems as well.
