Does support end for 1.4 on 2/1/2007 or 2/28/2007?
Actually it is March 31, 2007, at least in the US
Would anyone know if IBMLink will answer and ETR if it
isn't version/release dependent?
What it means is that new fixes (PTFs) will not be issued for problems
discovered after z/OS 1.4 goes EOS, except in exceptional circumstances.
In ETR, there are two catagories "report a defect (problem)" and "ask a
question". Defects reported on 1.4 will not be addressed, but
questions can always be asked. They are handled by two different groups.
I am told that you can sign a contract to provide 1.4 service after the
EOS date, but the price may be steep
